Lanco

lanco is a family business founded in 1952 in barcelona, spain as the first european production of natural rubber toys. alfred benet, the founder, was an artist captivated by the creative possibilities and artisanal character of natural rubber. he found its softness and elasticity magical and loved the fact that it had a natural life: it leaves no footprint on the planet for future generations. using the rubber from the hevea brasiliensis to create each piece as the founders did. all toys are biodegradable and made in slow sustainable ways to keep in time with the nature of life. lanco hopes to encourage children to develop a connection with nature and art to build a sustainable society through the language of play
